Introduction
Food Industry
“Vitaminka” concluded the past year, 2007, with significant positive results,
better then the results accomplished in 2006. These results are worthy of
mention in the very start of this Introduction.
- Increased supply to
the domestic market for 12%.
- Increased sales
turnover to the foreign markets for 7%,
- Increased number of
employees approximately for 7%.
- Brought to
conclusion one of the biggest investments in its history, namely the
facility for production of soft cakes, with or without chocolate coating,
with or without the addition of jelly mass, expected to commence with
production during this year.
The overall effects
of our work in a profit sense would have been much more significant had the
well known events on the global market not occurred, namely the enormous
price-rise of agricultural raw material and products, particularly
conspicuous during last year’s fall.
The price-rise of
vegetable fat, milk and milk powder, corn and corn products and egg powder,
as well as the oil price and similar factors, reduced the profit expected
for the year literally by half.
The following two
implemented undertakings should prove crucial for the future work of
“Vitaminka” in the 5 or 10 years to come:
First, “Vitaminka”
expanded the expert staff, finalized the recruitment and provided training
for the expert staff in the sales department. The young expert staff is an
excellent basis and a guarantee for the expected good work in this area in
the coming 5-10 years. And second, “Vitaminka” came to the final phase of
the investment in the new soft cake production factory, expected to start
with production by the middle of this year.
The factory for
liquid carbon dioxide used in the production of carbonized soft drinks and
mineral water plays the role of stabilizing “Vitaminka’s” operation and
increases production and sales. It is expected that this factory will give
the maximum planed results during this year too. An entry of foreign capital
into this factory is also expected, and that is in line with the general
conception of “Vitaminka’s” future work and development.
The current
activities confirm that “Vitaminka” increases more and more the number of
its customers both in the country and abroad; there is also an expansion of
the number of countries to which “Vitaminka” exports its products. The
constant and high quality of products, the appealing and respected design of
the individual and transport packaging, the promptness of supply and the low
prices relative to the product quality – these are all characteristics of
“Vitaminka’s” work.
“Vitaminka” continues
strengthening its operation by progressively increased implementation of the
ISO 9001:2000 and HACCP requirements, investing more and more in equipment
approved by these standards.
In the present year,
we will continue with the projected working and development plan, investing
much more work and time in introducing the new products – the soft cakes –
in regular production and to the market, as well as in a prompt expansion of
the products assortment produced in the new factory.
“Vitaminka” is in the
process of intense preparation for expanding the capacity for snakes (flips
and cornflakes) production, expanding and modernizing the ketchup and
mayonnaise production, modernizing and expanding the capacity for healthy
vitaminized instant drinks, as well as modernizing the work in the Logistic
Center.
“Vitaminka” entered
the new 5-10 years period of development and operation deeply convinced that
it will continue to work with success as it has been working until now,
regardless of the strong and extremely dangerous global events relative to
the price-rise of food raw material and their partial adaptation to other
needs.
The working results
in the beginning of this year compared to those of the beginning of the last
year support our enthusiasm and serve as a confirmation that the
undertakings during the last year were fully justified. We expect to have
such results throughout 2008.
